Good Monday morning! I’m making a pineapple juice for breakfast today as I feel bloated after the weekend’s party. In the flight yesterday my fingers were so swollen I could hardly move my rings; a sign of too little sleep and too much unhealthy drinks. So time to clean up the body and start on the right track on the first day of this week!
Pineapple is a fantastic fruit, and at least in Switzerland always available (I think it was sometimes hard to buy in Sweden, at least we never really ate it at home). Pineapple is stuffed with healthy vitamins and low in calories. The three best best benefits of Pineapple must be firstly, Its ability to reduce the inflammation of joints and muscles,. Pineapples contain a relatively rare proteolytic enzyme called bromelain which has anti-inflammatory effects. Secondly, Pineapples are a rich source of fiber, but they are special in that they contain both soluble and insoluble fiber. This means that eating a healthy amount of pineapples can protect you from bloating, and diarrhea as well as blood pressure. Thirdly, of course for skin, hair and all the beauty due to its richness in vitamin C.
The plans for the week? Finally, a calm week ahead with no travels and no late night plans, only lots of fun work (I am dying to tell you something but I need to wait a couple of more weeks…) And the best part is the weather! The weather app says right now +21 degrees from today until Friday, the start of a warm spring, so I believe we will spend some time on our terrace and have some friends over for sunset drinks.
