OFFICE BREAK

Hi guys, it’s time for a break and it’s great to get out of the office for a couple of days for a well deserved easter holiday. Although I love my office, I wanted to give a little bit of inspiration over easter in case you would get bored of all the egg hunting and chocolate eating and thinking about your workspace 😉 I have a thing for blue right now, which is a great office colour. It gives a serious but modern impression as well as having a calming effect on our brains. Anyhow, enough work-talks for this week… I’m checking out, closing my laptop and wishing you a lovely holiday! Speak to you again on Monday!

How I would love my meeting room right now...

I'm out, see you Monday!

LOST PASSPORTS & TERROR

Good morning darlings, I’m leaving to France in about an hour and just wanted to check in and say hi. I tried this outfit yesterday and thought I would wear it today. I totally adore these boots but I think It will be too warm so I better keep this outfit for the fall. I was running around last night to try to find our passports (not that we really need them, but in Switzerland they sometimes ask so better be on the safe side) and I just couldn’t understand where they were until I opened my Chanel bag and found them in the first pocket. I usually have this bag or my orange coloured wallet when I travel as the passports suits perfectly in the pockets and easy to pick up when needed.

I feel a bit nervous to travel today, not particularly to France but in general being at the airport and in larger crowds after all the terror that has been. I don't know how to think about these events yet and how to feel regarding travels and cities. One part of me just want to be home in my safe village on the countryside and another part of me is driven by revenge and the thought "I’m not going to show any terrorist that I’m scared, and I’m not going to allow anybody to control me to not travel". You see, I’m very split in this discussion. How do you feel?

In any case, I wish you all a fantastic easter and pray that no terror events will happen during easter. Hugs.

TASTEFUL EASTER DECO

Bonjour! Easter is here and I think I haven’t really realised it yet! Easter for me means it’s officially spring, and my god, spring this year has arrived so fast! I felt like we just ended the skiing season and jumped right into the summer. At least it’s been like that here in Switzerland, from one day to another we had 20 degrees and all flowers blooming. Really nice!

EASTER DECO
EASTER DECO

We are starting our easter holidays tonight by having guests over for a bbq, and I have decorated the table with a feeling of spring and easter. It's warm here so we might sit outside but as we have some birds (silly pigeons making a nest) on our terrace and hence I need to set the table inside, at least firstly. When it comes to traditional decoration I prefer the light version of decoration, tastefully. I'm not into turning the house upside down with deco and then removing it all a week later. Maybe this comes with age but for now I like simple and clean decoration (see my cotton easter tree on my instastories). For dinner and festivities in general; I adore decorating with feathers. I think they look so light and beautiful and adding that extra little touch to the dinner table. I have chosen white feathers today so get that classy look, but one can also use coloured ones for a more fun look.

We will be celebrating our easter holidays in South of France, more precisely near Cannes on the cote d'azur countryside. I cant wait to wake up and eat freshly made croissants and drink my coffee in the sunshine, speak French, listen to cheesy french songs and drive around in our little car. Although we have the same weather and the same croissants here, we just need a break and a get away from home and the croissants do taste better in France 😉 Hugs!!

SCANDINAVIAN IDIOM
SCANDINAVIAN SIMPLICITY

I feel like writing in Swedish right now… it’s not only design that is special for Scandinavia, it also comes with the way the language is formed around expressions. Swedish is a rather simple language and have less expressions that explains events and feelings, compared to French for example. Maybe our lack of expression has shaped our simplistic idiom (formspåk) to become what it is; simple but functional.

SCANDINAVIAN SIMPLICITY

Let me show you what a simple Scandinavian style means to me, a home with many things and and details however giving the impression of being uncomplicated and clean. The Scandinavian home is to me all about tradition and timeless elegance. Investing in furniture and home decoration is just something we do even for the ones being uninterested in styles and fashion, it’s something so crystal clear in the nature of being Scandinavian. I could write pages about my heritage, but let me stop here to follow our idiom, as less is forever more.

Our idiom is timeless elegance...

EASTER SWEETS

I can't wait for a well-deserved easter break to come, we are traveling to South of France simply relax; eat well with friends and sunbath. Normally we would celebrate together with either one of our families but this year they are both busy traveling so that’s why we do the same, on our own. By tradition we always give each other easter eggs (meaning going for an easter egg hunt in the garden) to look for the paper eggs filled with candies.

I felt a little bit sad over skipping traditions and told my partner that I would bring easter sweets for us to France, something that would have been a messy plan to bring chocolates and sweets in our small hand luggage. So instead, I received a sweet surprise yesterday and something even better than candies; my favourite treat: Luxemburgerli (macaroons) from Lindt & Sprüngli. For those of you who’s not familiar with Switzerland, these are macaroons and our answer to Laduree Paris. These macaroons are smaller and somehow more tasty. We finished the first layer already yesterday, and I’m pretty sure they’ll be all gone by tonight.
