VENICE NEXT

Good morning, or not good morning. I woke up at five o clock and couldn't fall asleep as it was a huge mosquito in our bedroom making it's biiping sound. Ahrrrghhh....I'm sooo tired, but at least I had time to work, pack and watch the sunrise to see it from the positive side! I'm going to the airport now to fly to Venice for the weekend. I've been to Venice once before, many years ago with my parents and I look forward to come back! I believe Venice is a place where one needs to be well prepared to not fall into all tourist traps and there I've booked us a private guide for the weekend that will takes us around while explaining all the historical events of the city and its surrounding. I look forward to update you on Monday! Enjoy your weekend!

PASSPORT
Good good morning, This week will move fast as I have some exciting plans in front of me with both a photo-shoot with Jennifer and a long weekend in Venice.
Do you travel with or without your passport? I always travel with mine, as here in Switzerland it can be tricky sometimes. When coming back to Zurich from abroad they sometimes asks for identification and if you then show a Swiss identification like drivers licence or similar, they will always start asking for more when they see my last name and hear my accent. And sometimes, they can be very rude. So from experience I always bring my Swedish passport with me, even if the rules tells it’s not needed. It’s time for the week to begin, and have my first cup of green tea. Have a lovely one!

STYLE GOALS

Happy Friday friends! Still not sprig nor summer weather here but it is warmer and this is the absolute last time I wear my knee boots this season but I must admit these boots serves it’s purpose by warming my legs in the morning. I’m planning on a after-work drink later today so a smaller handbag will fit well. There are some pieces in my closet I never give up on like this Chanel bag, it fits almost every outfit, as well as the heels I wore yesterday. If I could define a “style goal” it would be to collect timeless fashion items like these.

Last time I wear my knew-boots this season

Apart from that my day started perfectly until I received a sad text from my friend after I needed to cancel our Saturday plans. I’ve been very unclear to both her and my partner where I’ve mentioned to my friend long time ago that we shall do something tomorrow night as well as telling my partner that this weekend is free for plans. To be honest, I wasn’t in the mood for making any plans at all and that’s why I was so brief in my statements. Well, maybe not so well planned after all as we now have double plans and need to cancel one. Sometimes these things happens and one will need to take the bullet, I offered to invite for both day activities on Saturday as well as brunch on Sunday but nothing seemed to be well received. Bah, I hate to disappoint my surroundings.

I’m going to turn on the playlist “mood booster” in Spotify to get this day back on track! Ps. Don't forget to check out my blog later this afternoon when I will post the second story from our DIY flower session at the Westwing event yesterday.

A BALANCING OUTFIT
Good morning friends, It never stops raining here! When I landed yesterday the pilot said “Dear guests, we are about to land in Zurich shortly, in 11 degrees and rain”. Anyhow there is a saying in Swedish going – “no bad weather, only bad clothes”. Doesn't rhyme well in English but you get my point. At least I’m fighting the weather wearing a skirt today and knee boots in order to not freeze too much.

During my recent stay in Spain, I received the advise to add green into my life, basically more nature elements in terms of thing I do and surround myself with to be more balanced. So let's start the week with my green skirt from Zara. I wish you all a splendid start of this new week!

I WENT BOLD
Hi darlings! When we went to our yearly winter ball in January ( the techniker cercle ball in Vienna ) I bought two dresses for the occasion; a blush pink one and a creme flowery one. But I ended up wearing a black dress from last year. Normally, the “secret” dresscode for women are that young women shouldn’t wear dark colours but as it’s not my first time there I went bold and dressed in black.

That means I have two gorgeous dresses hanging in my closet, unused. As I’m not planning to go to any summer ball or having a summer wedding on my own, I’m really wondering when I will use these two… but hey, this is not a sponsored post but I thought I wanted to give you a tips on where I bought these beauties and a lot of other dresses for special occasions. It’s an Asian online shop called V-bridal. They don’t change their inventory very often but the styles they have are more or less perfect and the best part is that they come in over 30 colours. You can have it tailored to your measures or simply measure yourself to see if you fit into one of their sizes. I use a size 6.

This summer we have a trip to Venice where a ball dress can be used, as well as attending a wedding in Sweden in end of July. But I’m so uncertain what to wear at the wedding, as here in Switzerland you would wear a cocktail dress, hat and the full package but in Sweden it seems many are wearing long dresses. I have never been to a Swedish wedding, so if you have any style advise for me on what to wear on a Swedish wedding feel free to share! Thank you!
