Good morning! I am tapping myself on the shoulder when writing this; for 3 weeks now I woke up one hour before I usually wake up and went to my mat to workout. I have a super easy program I made myself that covers Monday to Friday with simple exercises for the core, arms and legs. It takes around 20 minutes and gives me a kickstart into the day. Especially when I have had lots of travels over weekends and no possibility to go running.
I told you before that we used to have a gym in our old house, and that I refuse to buy any expensive gym membership so this is my solution to the cold weather not allowing me to be outside. Although, I was running outside last week but after coming back I was freezing for the whole afternoon and my head felt so strange even if I had a hat on, maybe it got completely frozen. At least it felt like!
I hear so much talk right now about summer bodies and body goals for 2017, but I try to ignore it all and simply just focus on the daily feeling and sustainable health (like walking and doing things I like) rather than pushing myself and stopping after a couple of weeks. A friend of mine suggested me to go to these indoor cycling classes or bootcamp gigs they do in Hardbucke, but I know myself that well that I could simply not get my body and mind all the way there after 18.00 and get screamed at to move. Oh no, what a nightmare. I am happy at home on my yoga mat, no matter if I dont have a “summer body” or not in 4 month, the goal is to have a happy and healthy body. The rest comes automatically.
