My Favourite Online Furniture Stores
I have just packed my bag and will soon head to the airport, Copenhagen next. But in the meantime I thought I’d answer a question that I often get and recently last Friday at my party - “Can you recommend furniture stores online”. Flattering, of course I can!
I have ordered 50% of my home over the internet, and the other half I have bought in my mother's interior shop in Sweden. And the reason is that there are no furniture stores in Switzerland that match my taste. But with that said, I should underline that almost everything I have ordered online I have had knowledge of and seen in reality before the purchase. It is important, very important.
In essence, all of the goods I’ve ordered over the web without having seen it in real have surprised me with being larger, or smaller or wider than expected, regardless of whether I measured in detail. Anyway, the following shops are my favourites and those I have ordered my furnishings from.
Svensson has classic Scandinavian design furniture and sends goods abroad without problems. Our dining table and chairs are available at Svenssons. Link here.
Swedish Tenn plays in its own league and has a unique range of furniture and decoration that testifies to a long Swedish design story. It's extremely expensive but I've invested in a apron and christmas decoration this year. Link here.
Westwing is my friend Delia's interior company with furniture and deco in all price ranges. Here I have bought a lot of larger decorations - for example, our carpets, coffee tables, larger vases, etc. It's happy shopping but shipping sometimes takes long (in Switzerland.) Link here.
Houseology is an English online interior shop with a wide range of luxury furniture. Here I have bought table lamps and floor lamps and my beloved Chaise longue. Link here.
Oscar & Clothilde is a very wonderful Swedish, fairly new company with its own design. The disadvantage is that they do not send anything abroad, so you would need to arrange transport yourself. Link here.
Last but not least; Lantz Möbler, with its shop in the most beautiful Hunnebostrand where my family lives and works. The homepage is nothing to cheer for, but it will change soon. The shop is worth a visit with furniture from famous Swedish designers as well as furniture from French and other international fairs. And transportation is definitely no problem. Link here.
