Good morning 🙂 here comes two mobile snaps from yesterday, really ugly ones but the point is that I went to a seminar with the former chairman of HQ Bank; Stefan and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce. It felt like my favourite TV show Billions but in reality. It was really interesting to hear Stefan talk about a Sweden that he never believed existed; mainly corruption in the governmental and legal world. ( note… in Sweden everyone thinks all people are good and equal) I don’t doubt a second that that is the fact, but the story is rather chocking. Stefan’s bank, HQ Bank, broke it’s risk limits when trading derivatives, they lost 1.23 billion SEK for it’s over 90’000 customer and they were caught. Or did they really loose them or are these money on a Caribbean Island somewhere?
Now, I’m not sure which foot to stand on, personally I thought Stefan’s presentation last night held too many defending elements but at the same time presented many shocking facts; on the other hand I have an uncle who’s one of Swedens most successful financial journalists who’s under the impression that these guys are thieves after emailing him these images last night. In the end; it feels just like my favourite tv show Billions where the bad guys are the rich finance guys and the good guys are the attorneys being the poor and striving for fairness. v
