Good morning, sometimes miracles do happen, this time a lamp miracle! We were thinking of getting a chandelier for our dining room but after my mom mentioned she had seen a lamp at their friends house “a lamp looking like little branches from a tree with leaves on, and absolutely wonderful” as she so beautifully described it; I googled the same sentences and it appeared. I didnt know Moooi before and that was the day I fell in love with the Heracleum lamp. But the price was less attractive! We had dinner the same evening and I randomly searched for the lamp on google, which gave me hits for Switzerland and the second link referred to a second hand page (like Blocket in Sweden). I clicked on the link and found the lamp I was looking for, the large Heracleum, and gave it a try emailing the person in the ad and they emailed back.

The next day we visited the person and their tastefully decorated apartment. They had purchased one Heracleum lamp too much (hello, who does that…?!) and needed to get rid of the second one (never used and still packed in plastic!) and the couple basically gave it to us for free, we paid ca. 20% of the purchase price. Bingo, so we have a new designer lamp at home ready to hang in the ceiling. I will update you once it’s done. Hugs!

PINEAPPLE JUICE

Good morning darlings, did you have breakfast yet? If not, then maybe I can inspire you to have a pineapple juice. I made a delicious pineapple juice last Sunday and I still have half of it left in the fridge. Yummy!

So what are my favourite "benefits of pineapple juice"?

Pineapples are fantastic to heal your body, especially good to drink after doing sports as it contains the enzyme Bromelain (it also helps bruising… great for me as I get bruises so easily!). And as many other fruit it contains high levels of Vitamin C; which I usually think of as the “beauty vitamin” great for your nails, skin and eyes. The “secret ingredient” in pineapple juice is the fertility booster; yep, it boosts fertility in both men and women, so if you want to get pregnant fast then eat or drink pineapple! And my favourite thing with drinking or eating Pineapple is that it helps bloating and overall digestion; a good tips is to eat pineapple as a desert (most restaurants offer that if you ask for it).

So right now I’m having a glass of pineapple juice and a handful of nuts for breakfast. I will have lunch with my friend Tatiana today, so I prefer light breakfast as we are going to have sushi, and I love sushi!! <3 Enjoy the day!

Hi summer girls! Last night I started to think about what to wear for our many upcoming holidays this summer. We are traveling to Mykonos to party with friends, to south of Sweden for a wedding in July and then a long break with my parents in France, and more. A swimsuit is a must when hanging at the pool, including a matching hat. I can imagine bringing the baby blue bag when going for a city stroll, and dressing up in the lovely blouse with a pair of white linen pants for work, combined with the nude coloured heels. For those of you who's following me on my Instatories know that I've just received the Demi Leather Heels last week. <3 Hugs!

A PROMISE

The first thing I did this morning was to water all my new flowers on the balcony. My boyfriends dad told me that my flowers needs water at least two times per day during the summer months! (I was thinking for a second to change them all to plastic flowers… aj aj). So, I better include it in my morning routine; making my tea and filling up the water can then taking a stroll on the balcony, each morning. And I made a promise to myself this week...

Plans for this week are mainly trying to do lots of sports and eat healthy. I’ve promised myself to be strict with my 5-2 eating plan, basically only drinking green tea for breakfast Monday and Wednesday as well as broth and a fruit for lunch followed by a light salad at night. And the rest of the days eating as I wish. In addition no alcohol! By following this plan I stay sharp and focused when working as well as feeling great on the inside. I need this now, I have a busy and demanding week ahead. What’s your promise to yourself?

LONG BREAKFAST & FIRST SWIM

Hi sweets, sorry for the poor updates and breakfast pictures only now, but the blog was down since Friday night. My blog's server (I have an IT company handling my blogs server) was down over the weekend, but luckily its been fixed now. So what kept us busy; my boyfriends parents from Northern Germany visited us over the weekend. We had long breakfasts on the balcony, enjoying the great summer weather and went on the lake with the boat and had lots of wine and late night discussions at Chez Fritz last night (a restaurant outside Zurich).

Phew, it's nice to be alone again now ;-) .... Shortly after they left, we walked down (3 minutes) to the lake to make the first swim of the year, its 20 degrees in the water! Wonderful! Have a lovely evening darlings, now I'm throwing my sunburned-body on the sofa to watch a movie.
