Something important for me is to get a lot of time to think and reflect, at least one hour a day to be alone preferably outdoor walking. Days when I don’t get my “headspace hour” it feels like thoughts and feelings are piling up and my head gets messy. This outdoor-hour is when I clean up my brain, like a room that needs to tidy up and putting thoughts into boxes, my own todo list or simply go into the trash. This allows me to think new and fresh, and usually a lot of ideas and new thoughts are popping up too. When that happens I quickly note them in my phone in case I would forget. I don’t overthink things too much, I usually take a day “sleep over” something and the next day I either do something about it, and action connected to the thought or idea to take it forward or I trash it in my mental bin. Hence, I never nag over things. That’s just takes energy and preventing new thoughts or ideas.

I think I became very good at thinking of the future, use my curiosity and invite new ideas to my mind. I take an hour everyday, usually over lunch to get out and walk. On the contrary I am not the most social lunch person but I prefer to have a clear mind and energy for my most important once. Some people use apps like mindfulness or headspace, but I create my own time for headspace. Today I definitely need a long hour of walking after a weekend ful of events and conversations. I feel my mind is craving a cleanup and I need to decide and prioritise not only ideas but also people.
Enjoy your Monday and the new week!
